Young Chefs' Academy

Company founder and president Michele Lifshen Reing is also a trained pastry chef and views the culinary arts as another way to be expressive!

She is skilled in traditional Jewish cooking and baking and enjoys sharing her rich culinary and cultural heritage. She is delighted to be joining Young Chefs' Academy to work with children and have fun in the kitchen! The Young Chefs' Academy (YCA) in Newton, NJ is a culinary school created just for kids where kids learn the basics of cooking, and learn that it can be quite creative, full of discovery, and a whole lot of fun!

There are dozens of classes for children of all ages at YCA, from cooking basics to specialized decorating and holiday-themed classes. We will be developing new classes including cookie decorating, fun with cake fondant, Jewish cooking and baking and more. Ms. Reing studied pastry arts and cake decorating at the Institute for Culinary Education in New York City and trained at Payard Patisserie as well as with notable cake designers Gail Watson and Ron Ben Israel. A photo gallery of her culinary work will be coming soon!
